Is Airport Contraband worth it?

This is a reading of other people's reviews, not a claim that I played it. The sample is small because the game is two days old in this snapshot.

On 30 Oct 2026 the Steam English-language review summary showed 42 user reviews and 83% positive. No live player count is presented here. Those are moving numbers. I am freezing them with a date so they are not mistaken for a live ticker. No aggregate critic score was independently verified for this review.

The most-helpful Steam comments, read as themes rather than pasted essays, split like this. People who liked it mentioned the price, said it did not feel like a surprise Early Access launch, and noticed the developer answering bugs quickly. People who held back said the airport felt empty of staff NPCs, and that progression can feel slow. gaming.rip, on 29 Oct 2026, called it a solid game with some good ideas and said fans of the genre could take a look, while also saying the writer stopped because of a packed schedule. One player comment mentions a casual mode that lowers the time pressure. I have only that comment for the mode, so it stays "a player said so."

The launch note's length claim is 20+ hours. Whether that feels worth $17.99 depends on whether you want a roguelite customs shift or a longer-established border campaign. If you want the finished one, Contraband Police has years of reviews and costs more. If you want the name with "police" in it, read the disambiguation before you buy either.

Did a critic finish it?

gaming.rip recommended a look and said the writer did not keep playing. I am not calling that a completed critique.
