Caldora, in the 28 May 2026 devlog, is a fictional tropical island state "ruled by fear and spectacle." The airport is the chaotic gate to the outside world. Capybaras wander it as a national symbol, not a one-off joke. The launch trailer and the store gallery both put a capybara in frame, and two highlighted achievements use the animal's name: Cappy Ever After and Certified Capybara Whisperer.

The Great Leader, from the 22 May 2026 devlog, is suspicious, afraid of losing power, and fond of sudden bans. The example in that post is a paper cut followed by a national ban on books. Propaganda treats each absurd order as genius. The post also alludes to a historic trip and to private obsessions, without naming them. José is the supervisor who trains you and, in the launch note's wording, has some less-than-respectable friends. Every other day he receives a horoscope. Dream Workers Company replaces a dead employee and sells permanent upgrades with Dream Points. The cartel is local and sends the morning favor.

The developer credit on Steam and on the launch fact sheet is DRAGO entertainment, with Shochiku as a co-publisher. A Wikidata record I opened on 30 Oct 2026 had no developer statement at all, so I am not adding a second studio name from an older rumor.
