Duty, bribes, and the cartel

A morning telegram, a choice to accept or refuse, and two public counts of cartel hearts that do not agree.

The 27 Feb 2026 devlog says a telegram arrives before the shift and names the day's favor. The example in that post is moving two restricted items to a place the telegram names. Accept pays cash and "proper conduct" points. Refuse drops the cartel's opinion of you. After you accept, you still have to recognize the item during inspection and hand it to a task collector. The same post describes a day summary with income, a conduct rating, and whether the task was finished.

Hearts are the conflict. The 6 Mar 2026 devlog says losing all three cartel hearts ends the run. The store screenshot's HUD shows a second row of five heart shapes. I am not averaging 3 and 5 into 4. The devlog says three. The picture shows five. Whichever the build you bought uses is the one that counts, and I cannot see your build from here.

Airport reputation is a separate meter. The 28 Oct 2026 hotfix mentions fixing reputation rewards when a cargo-control inspection was left unfinished, which is how I know the meter is real and that it can pay out wrong. Bribes: the launch note says a suspect facing arrest may offer money, and taking it risks that reputation. The Great Leader can also outlaw a category overnight. Every other day, the 26 Aug 2026 devlog says José receives a horoscope and you pick a good or bad omen that touches the next few days, including inspection time and fines. Reputation formulas and bribe amounts are not printed. I am leaving those cells empty.
